ASSESSMENT

At SSD International School, assessment is an integral part of the teaching–learning process. Our assessment system is designed to evaluate not only academic achievement but also the overall growth, skills, and progress of each student. We follow a balanced approach that encourages learning, improvement, and confidence.

Objectives of Assessment

• To monitor and support continuous learning
• To identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
• To encourage critical thinking and application of knowledge
• To provide constructive feedback to students and parents

Assessment Framework

Our assessment process includes both Formative and Summative assessments:

Formative Assessment

• Conducted throughout the academic year
• Includes classwork, homework, projects, presentations, quizzes, and group activities
• Focuses on continuous feedback and improvement

Summative Assessment

• Conducted at the end of a term or academic session
• Includes written examinations and standardized tests
• Measures overall understanding and academic achievement

Holistic Assessment

In addition to academics, students are assessed on:

• Life skills and values
• Participation in co-curricular and sports activities
• Discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities
• Attitude, effort, and responsibility

Evaluation & Reporting

• Regular evaluations are conducted to track student progress
• Report cards provide detailed feedback on academic and co-scholastic areas
• Parent–Teacher Meetings are held to discuss performance and growth plans
